Celebrating over 20 years in dance, Dance World Studios was established in 1987 and is now recognised as one of Australia's leading vocational Performing Arts training institutions.
We believe that success is achieved in developing raw talent to meet industry requirements, and equally importantly, in the encouragement we give to students to achieve their individual artistic potential. As part of our programs, we are fortunate to have the support of a teaching faculty of international & national repute, who instill a sense of integrity & inspiration through the quality of their work. Our administration team has an outstanding track record in Arts management and the professional industry, and provides ongoing support to students and creative staff.
All Dance World courses offer vocational training in the Performing Arts for those who wish to pursue a career in dance and the Entertainment industry. Courses have a strong practical emphasis and industry focus.
ADULT COURSES
DANCE
- For advanced students: Advanced Associate in Fine Arts
(Dance Performance) 2 years full-time - For advanced students: Advanced Associate in Classical Ballet
2 years full-time - For intermediate students: Associate in Applied Dance
(Techniques & Performance) 2 years full-time - For beginners students: Foundation in Applied Dance
(Techniques & Performance) 1 year full-time
MUSICAL THEATRE
- For advanced students: Advanced Associate in Musical Theatre
2 years full-time - For Intermediate students: Associate in Musical Theatre
1 year part-time
ACTING
- For intermediate students: Advanced Associate in Dramatic Art 1 year part-time
KIDS & TEENS
We offer casual classes and part-time program, incorporating a range of classes and performing arts disciplines including dance, vocals and drama for students of all levels, aged from 3 years old to adults as part of our ongoing education program. Casual classes are on offer in the South Melbourne campus.
TEENS PART-TIME PROGRAMS
- SATURDAY: Foundation Program in Dance 1 year part-time
- SATURDAY & WEEKNIGHT: Foundation Program in Performing Arts (Dance & Music Theatre) 1 year part-time
Dance World Studios is part of APO INTERNATIONAL, which over the years has been involved the provision of artistic talent for a range of theatrical productions, ballet & dance companies, television, theatre, and commercial events in Australia and overseas. Colors Entertainment & Events, APO International Management, Emerald Hill Theatre Company and Pop Embassy Production all form part of the APO business structure.
