Appreciating the needs of today’s classical dancer, this two-year course is has been created to provide elite training and guidance from a distinguished assembly of Australia’s leading lecturers in the world of classical ballet. Designed with careful attention to detail, the course along with it’s allied performance and theoretical subjects is intended to enable students seeking to enter institutions of higher learning (both here in Australia and overseas) or for those wishing to embark directly into a professional career in dance.
Adapting features of the Russian Vaganova system (which is the basis of our training methodology), we have developed a program to meet the Australian physical and environmental requirements whist utilising the Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti Exam Training Systems.
The artistic development of the students is encouraged and provided by means of studio classes, and participation in numerous performances throughout the year, along with to local, interstate and international ballet competitions. These opportunities provide essential and integral elements to the development from student to artist.
Through this artistically disciplined environment, Dance World Studios takes pride in the knowledge that we have produced many elite professional dancers. It has been our privilege to nurtured and developed past students and we look forward to doing the same with the future potential talent accepted into the program.
Information outlining the procedures and requirements for entrance into this course can be found on the Auditions page of this website.
